Life is hectic enough without having to worry about your checking account. With a FAIRWINDS checking account, you'll get convenience, selection and value, and you'll never have to pay per check charges. The following is a brief overview of the checking accounts FAIRWINDS offers and our wide variety of benefit services.

Preferred Checking
The Preferred Checking account rewards members who participate fully in the credit union cooperative. Preferred Checking account holders enjoy extra savings and convenience. Qualifying for the Preferred account is easy. Simply maintain a cumulative deposit and/or loan balance of $7,500 or more in each FAIRWINDS account.

Basic Checking
The Basic Checking account gives you the convenience you want and the flexibility you need. There is no service charge if you have Direct Deposit going into your checking account or maintain a minimum balance of $250, otherwise, there will be a monthly service charge to cover the cost of the services you receive at the credit union. Members under age 18 will not be affected.

As your participation in the cooperative grows, you can enjoy additional savings by automatically qualifying for the Preferred Checking account. Participation levels are evaluated every 30 days.
