Switch Checking Account Types
Want to switch from one checking account type to another? It's as easy as stopping by one of our branches or calling Member Services at (407) 277-5045. Members may freely switch between Free Checking, Simply Smarter and Interest Checking. The full amount for any applicable service charges will be applied for the month that the checking account was under a certain type. If members switch from a Preferred or Basic checking account they may not switch back to a Preferred or Basic Checking account.
Additional Information, Products and Services
- Legacy Checking Accounts
These are checking accounts types (Preferred and Basic) that are still open for many members, but have been discontinued.
- Order Checks
Order checks online, by calling or visiting a branch.
- Debit Cards
A Cash Direct™ Check Card looks like a credit card but works like a check.
- Check 21 and Your Checking Account
The Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act (Check 21) is designed to speed up and reduce costs involved with the check cashing process.
- Account Reconciliation
Knowing how much money you have in your account is the best way to protect yourself from the cost and embarrasment of an NSF. However, your account balance isn't what you have in your account right now. You must also factor in any transactions that haven't cleared yet.
- Overdraft Protection
Overdraft protection may be linked to your checking account at no charge. The amount needed to cover a check can be transferred from a savings account or personal line of credit.
- Regulation D limitations
Members are limited to a set number of transactions that are completed away from a branch or ATM location.
