ORLANDO, FL - February 6: It's time to start shredding! FAIRWINDS Credit Union is hosting Shred Fest on Saturday, February 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at their Leesburg branch location. Shred Fest is a FREE event for Leesburg residents to bring their personal and financial documents and papers to safely shred and destroy. The Leesburg branch is located at: 27414 US Hwy 27, Leesburg, FL 34748 (next to McDonald's).
This popular event is held monthly and rotates among the credit union's 37 Central Florida locations. Through Shred Fest, FAIRWINDS has helped to safely destroy almost one million pounds of documents since 2006. The credit union partners with Crown Shredding to provide shred trucks equipped with cameras so guests can watch their documents be destroyed safely.
Due to heavy volume, guests may bring a maximum of five boxes of personal documents per vehicle to shred. Shred Fest may be cancelled or end early due to equipment failure, truck capacity reached, bad weather, or any other unforeseen event.
