ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 6, 2011) - Larry Tobin, President/CEO of FAIRWINDS Credit Union celebrates his 50th birthday on Tuesday, December 13. FAIRWINDS Credit Union, with assets of more than 1.5 billion and over 500 employees, is one of the largest credit unions in Central Florida and one of the region's largest financial institutions, including banks and thrifts. He began his career at FAIRWINDS Credit Union in 1981 as a part-time teller while attending the University of Central Florida.
Tobin serves on the board of directors of the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission (EDC) and is an executive committee member of the UCF Foundation Board of Directors. He is Chairman of the Rollins MBA Crummer Graduate School of Business Board of Overseers.
Tobin lives in Oviedo, FL with his wife and five children. He enjoys traveling, boating, music, and spending time with his family.
