Is Your Money Market Right for You?

Making sure you’re in the right account can help you maximize your earnings and save more. To provide certain services at FAIRWINDS there are charges, but as a participating member with the credit union you can often avoid incurring service charges – and that’s how we prefer it!

Starting May 10, a new minimum balance service charge will be in effect for Regular and Premium Money Market accounts.

	If Average Monthly Balance is below…	Then a Monthly Service Charge of…
Regular Money Market Account	$2,500	$12
Premium Money Market Account	$10,000	$15

Now is a great time to review your accounts and determine how you can earn more and avoid an unnecessary service charge. For example:

1.	If your Regular Money Market balance is below $2,500, we recommend one of the following:
	•	Make a deposit to your Money Market account to bring your balance to $2,500 and start earning interest.
or
	•	Transfer your money to a Regular Savings account and earn interest with a lower minimum balance requirement of $50.

2.	If your Premium Money Market account is below $10,000, we recommend that you:
	•	Make a deposit to your Premium Money Market account to bring your balance to $10,000 and start earning interest.
or
	•	Transfer your money to a Regular Money Market account or Regular Savings account.

We encourage you to stop by and meet with any of our experts to help you decide which account choice is right for you and your money.
