Bill Payer Tips

The following payments cannot be made via Bill Payer:

Type of payment/payee Reason for Exclusion
Tax entity Failure to pay on time can result in substantial penalties, liens, loss of property and or court orders.
Collection Agencies The customer had a past due account that was turned over to a collection agency. The original merchant is out of the transaction. Responsibility can not be taken for any actions taken against the customer as a result of a late payment.
Court ordered payments
Includes alimony, child support, speeding tickets etc.
Failure to pay on time can result in substantial penalties, liens, loss of property, additional court orders and/or arrest warrants.
Payments to payees outside of the U.S. This would apply to true "foreign payees in other countries and payments to Armed Forces postal codes. For example, the AF postal code could be "NY" but the end destination of the payment could actually be to someone at a military base in a foreign country or on a ship. It may be difficult or impossible to reach the payee to research and resolve a payment issue within 5 business days.
Payments to settle securities transactions Failure to pay on time can result in an unfavorable price or loss of revenue if the price changes. These transactions have very strict settlement windows.
Payments to payoff special financing transactions These are loans where no interest or payments are due for some period of time (6 months or a year) but if the the entire principal is not paid by the due date, all of the accrued finance charges then become due and payable.
Unprocessed payments due to debit failures These are cases where the payment debit was never successfully authorized and the credit was never remitted to the merchant. The ORCC guarantee only applies to successfully authorized payments. If there are instances where ORCC is at fault, they are handled on a case by case basis.
