Are you thinking about starting a family? Now is the time to start thinking about a budget. Here are some ways to financially prepare yourself for your bundle of joy.

Review your spending: Start keeping track of your expenses and look for things you can cut out. For example, cancelling a gym membership can easily save you $30 – $45 a month.

Don’t go overboard shopping for baby: Friends and family LOVE buying baby items. You can still go buy a few “must-have” items, but your baby will more than likely be well-clothed for the first year.

Start a savings account: Your little human deserves a savings account of their own. It’ll be a great place to store their allowance for their hard work (finally – a helper to take out the garbage).
