FAIRWINDS Credit Union Gains Weight to Help the Knights Helping Knights Pantry
Orlando, FL - FAIRWINDS Credit Union and the UCF Alumni Association will join forces to help the University of Central Florida’s Knights Helping Knights Food Pantry in the Happy Knights-Giving Food Drive. In the efforts to support UCF, FAIRWINDS has the opportunity to help with an issue that most don’t hear about, student hunger. Many college students are faced with hunger issues after limited part time job openings and the loss of parental financial support.
Through December 2nd, the UCF Alumni Association, FAIRWINDS members, and its employees will donate non-perishable holiday breakfast and lunch items to help raise 1,000 pounds of food for UCF students. Drop off and collection locations will be located all over the Central Florida community including all 38 FAIRWINDS branch locations and the FAIRWINDS Alumni Center on the UCF campus.
The Knights Helping Knights Pantry is a student-run program that encourages the Central Florida community to donate non-perishable items to UCF students in need.
