FAIRWINDS Named Best Place to Work – Giant Category

Orlando, FL – The Orlando Business Journal once again has recognized FAIRWINDS Credit Union as Central Florida’s 2016 “Best Place to Work – Giant Category.”

“Our crewmembers are our most valuable asset and it’s thanks to them that we’re able to receive this incredible recognition,” said Larry Tobin, President/CEO of FAIRWINDS.

According to the Orlando Business Journal’s website, their annual Best Places to Work is “designed to honor the area’s leading employers. We are looking for companies that go above and beyond the norm to foster an enjoyable and meaningful work environment for their employees.”

FAIRWINDS was selected based upon a variety of criteria, including unique perks and benefits the credit union’s offers such as a sick leave reimbursement program where unused, accrued sick hours can be exchanged toward out-of-pocket medical and wellness expenses.

FAIRWINDS has previously been the recipient or a finalist in the OBJ’s Best Places to Work on several occasions over the last few years. “FAIRWINDS has been and continues to be a great place to work in Central Florida simply because we take care of each other,” said Tobin. “We are a family.”

FAIRWINDS Credit Union, headed by President/CEO Larry Tobin, is the largest financial institution headquartered in Central Florida, with assets of $2.2 billion, more than 182,400 members and over 510 employees. The financial cooperative established in 1949.
