Unveils New Credit Card Designs
Fans of Orlando City SC can kick off the new season this year with purple—
and a little more green—in their wallets.
ORLANDO, FL - Fans of Orlando City SC can kick off the new season this year with purple—and a little more green—in their wallets. FAIRWINDS Credit Union has partnered with Orlando City SC to launch new credit card designs featuring Orlando City of Major League Soccer (MLS) and Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). The partnership offers a number of benefits for fans, including full integration with the Club’s LionNation membership program.
FAIRWINDS members who open an Orlando City or Orlando Pride credit card—and belong to the Club’s LionNation membership program—can earn one point for every dollar spent. LionNation allows fans to accumulate points and redeem them on exclusive rewards, including player meet-and-greets, behind-the-scenes access, discounted merchandise and more. LionNation members also receive exclusive priority on single-game tickets throughout the season.

Orlando City and Orlando Pride credit cards offer unlimited cash back on every purchase. Cardholders who spend up to $10,000 each year earn 1 percent cash rewards, while cardholders who have annual net purchases greater than $10,000 receive 1.25 percent cash back. The cards also feature 2 percent cash rewards on gas and groceries.

In addition to two new credit card offerings, FAIRWINDS has also released two debit card designs featuring Orlando City and Orlando Pride. Both types of cards are equipped with EMV chip technology and offer three mobile wallet options, including Apple Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay.

After winning three USL-Pro regular season championships and two post-season titles over a four-year span, Orlando City SC quickly set the standard for professional soccer clubs, both on and off the field, and was awarded the 21st franchise in Major League Soccer (MLS) on Nov. 19, 2013. The Club began MLS play in Central Florida in 2015, setting league attendance records for an expansion side in its first season and has welcomed over 60,000 fans for consecutive season-opening matches in 2015 and 2016. The Lions, who held the second highest average attendance in the league for the second consecutive season, will begin play in a privately funded, state-of-the-art downtown stadium in the 2017 MLS season.
