Who We Are

FAIRWINDS Credit Union is a cooperative financial institution that is owned and operated by its members. The core values and intent of the organization are to focus on the best interests of each individual member - thereby promoting a greater good for all. As the largest locally owned and operated financial institution in Central Florida with over 160,000 members and more than $1.7 billion in assets, FAIRWINDS strives to serve its members and the community in a manner which is responsible, fiscally sound and trustworthy.

How do you become a member of FAIRWINDS?

Membership with FAIRWINDS asks that you maintain an ownership share with the credit union. As long as you maintain this share you are a member of the credit union for life. An ownership share of $5 is established at account opening and is kept in a non-transactional account called Membership Share. Ownership of this share entitles you to use the services of the credit union and vote for the credit union’s volunteer board of directors.
