ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 25, 2009) - Larry Tobin, President/CEO of FAIRWINDS Credit Union celebrates his 48th birthday on Sunday, December 13. FAIRWINDS Credit Union, with assets over 1.5 billion and over 500 employees, is the largest credit union in Central Florida and one of the region's largest financial institutions, including banks and thrifts. He began his career at FAIRWINDS Credit Union in 1981 as a part-time teller while attending the University of Central Florida.
Tobin is on the board of directors of the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission (EDC) and is a member of the UCF Foundation Board of Directors. He serves on the Board of Overseers for the Crummer Graduate School of Business for Rollins College. Tobin was recognized as the Most Influential Businessman in Banking by the Orlando Business Journal.
Tobin lives in Oviedo, Fla. with his wife and five children. He enjoys traveling, boating, music, and spending time with his family.
