FAIRWINDS Donates $50,000 Hurricane Relief Efforts

Orlando, FL

FAIRWINDS announced this weekend that it has made a $50,000 donation to assist with Hurricane Ian relief efforts in Central Florida and across the state.

FAIRWINDS will be directing $25,000 to the Hurricane Recovery Fund established by Heart of Florida United Way and the Central Florida Foundation. This collaborative effort, announced late last week, includes many corporate, individual, and Foundation contributors across the region. The fund will focus on the immediate needs of residents in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties. The focus of the fund will then turn to long-term recovery efforts.

In addition, FAIRWINDS is directing $25,000 to the statewide Florida Disaster Fund championed by Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis. These donations will be directed to critical help needed for Hurricane Ian relief efforts. The funding is already being utilized by organizations in the field to help people who have been impacted by this storm.

“Giving back to the communities in which we operate is part of our DNA at FAIRWINDS,” said President and CEO of FAIRWINDS Larry Tobin. “We were honored to be asked by First Lady Casey DeSantis to be among the companies making major donations to help activate the Florida Disaster Fund and by Heart of Florida United Way to contribute to their Disaster Fund. We will continue to provide support throughout the recovery process. We are in this together.”
