New non-profit provides assistance to black business owners

Orlando, FL

FAIRWINDS partners with Citizens Bank of Florida to support the Black Venture Fund, Inc. (BVF), a non-profit, business-education organization that provides technical assistance programs to Black business owners in the Central Florida area.

The benefits of BVF include:

  • Business training by experienced professionals;

  • Technical assistance with business challenges provided through access to Business Consultants;

  • Certification upon graduation from BVF’s rigorous program; and

  • Qualification to access key sponsors’ Capital Loan programs.

“At FAIRWINDS, our core purpose is to guide members toward achieving financial freedom by helping them save more, eliminate debt, build wealth and live generously. That same core purpose extends to our business members,” says Dianne Owen, FAIRWINDS Executive Vice President of Marketing. “It was only natural for us to partner with the BVF, who share the same commitment to investing in our local business community by providing business owners with the tools and resources they need to grow and thrive. We’re proud to be a founding partner of such an invaluable organization in our community.”
