FAIRWINDS Credit Union today announced its intent to acquire Citizens Bank of Florida, a community financial institution with $489 million in assets. The deal will result in 10.25% market share for FAIRWINDS in Seminole County.

Mayor Jerry Demings has signed a proclamation establishing April as FAIRWINDS Foundation Financial Literacy Month.

FAIRWINDS Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that serves as the philanthropic arm of FAIRWINDS Credit Union, recently announced the recipients of its 2021 grants at an event held at the Citrus Club in Downtown Orlando.

FAIRWINDS partners with Citizens Bank of Florida to support the Black Venture Fund, Inc. (BVF), a non-profit, business-education organization that provides technical assistance programs to Black business owners in the Central Florida area.
