Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for my first auto loan I've been a Fairwinds member for quite a long time now and I love this credit union! My mom referred me to Joni, my loan officer, to help us out with my auto loan. Living in Los Angeles, the communication process was a bit difficult. Joni was very helpful and knowledgeable of her work and the process, though I wish she were a bit friendlier and approachable. At times, I felt nervous or anxious to reach out to her with questions or concerns. At one point, she misread my e-mail and said I wasn't qualified to finance but we caught the mistake and were able to move forward. Nonetheless, she was extremely helpful! :) I just wish I felt more comfortable reaching out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Auto Loan One of your tellers advised me his screen showed I had been approved for release of my funds on my secured credit card. I didn't have time right then, so asked him to have someone call me. She did. During our phone conversation, she said, "I see that you are ALSO approved for a new auto loan". I told her that I was not interested in a NEW loan, however, I was VERY interested in re-financing the high interest loan I current had. She was very expeditious in getting that done. I was and am VERY pleased. In the process however, I was told that I was turned down for the release of my funds with the secured credit card. I hope that can be readdressed in the near future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New car loan. When I decided to buy a new car, I stopped by the Lee Vista office in Orlando. The relationship manager talked to me about what was available. She gave me the paperwork to give to the dealer. While at the dealer, she called me and lowered the rate we talked about. She talked to the finance person at the dealer. To make a long story short, I ended up financing through the dealer just to get the price I wanted. I saw my bank rep the next day and we started the refinancing process for the rate she gave me. I have been with Fairwinds for many years now. And will be for life. I vote for her to be employee of the year.

Working with loan officer Kathy I obtained a secured personal loan to build my credit. after seven months I found my dream car and with the off chance that I might be approved for a loan I contacted Kathy again at the Apopka branch. Within a few hours she called me back and informed me that I had been approved for a no down payment loan. She was ecstatic that I had been approved because we had been working together for the past year to get to this point. Needless to say I now own a very fun car. However my insurance is more than my car payment :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed in customer service i have an auto loan with Fairwinds and went to sell my car (private sale) and was given the wrong information multiple times regarding the pay off process. My buyer and I both took off work to handle the sale and weren't able to register the vehicle in his name due to wrong information given. I called multiple times and heard a different story each time regarding what the best way to handle the private sale was. Extremely disappointed at how inconvenient this experience was for me and my buyer. My process/experience obtaining my loan from Fairwinds however was great, so just to clarify I was not happy with the customer service relating to the loan pay off/title information.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Car buying made easy. When repairs began to exceed our old car's value we checked to see if we could get a car financed. We were pleased to get a yes. The concierge service was new to us and we are pleased with the results. I thought the car would cost less, because we were getting it from an auction, but in the end it was just under book and we gave up our old car and added in cash to meet the CU 80% loan to value requirement. This is how to buy a car.
